50C 1820 Square Base 2, Large Date, No Knob, O-108 MS63 PCGS. CAC. Ex: Pryor.

$9,950.00

Whew! What along description. This is one SUPER HIGH END half dollar. We unhesitatingly grade this coin an MS63.9! ! Incredible surfaces are ultra clean and smooth. Even using a strong glass there re ZERO impairments to be found anywhere. The surfaces do offer slight traces of semi-prooflike mirrors. A wonderful and totally natural mix of moderate russet/pale navy/deep champagne toning swirls all over both sides. By no means are the colors drab or dull. Miss Liberty and the details are super sharp in strike and do boldly stand out. The eye appeal is neat! PCGS 5, NGC 2, CAC 1. PCGS has only graded 3 in MS64, one MS65 (which sold for $61,688.00 06/2104) and one MS66+. This was the ONLY PCGS MS63 to ever appear in auction. In MS63, this date only made 3 auction appearances (all NGC) between 2000-2013. You can’t beat the quality and rarity of this coin. Of course with so few appearances, published price guides are just plain WRONG. We had figured to pat $10,000.00. There are zero price records for ANY (PCGS/NGC ) ever selling. Once this coin is sold-good luck finding another .
