25C 1853 A/R PCGS MS65

When you need one of these, you never can find one! We assure you, this coin is one of the nicer ones we have ever laid eyes on for an MS65. No question this totally ORIGINAL GEM would be an MS65 every time. It has amazingly clean and smooth surfaces. Even using a strong glass, we can not find ANY major imperfections ANY where! A moderate luster shows off even deep pewter/pale gold/faint blue/deep silver colors on both sides. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck and do stand out. The eye appeal is quite attractive. PCGS 17, NGC 27, CAC 2. PCGS has graded 8 higher-while CAC has stickered NONE higher. Do NOT be fooled by the pops, these are extremely rare coins. We have only handled one other (back in 2007) and that’s it. Remarkably, the last PCGS CAC piece to sell in auction brought $17,625.00 08/2015. Prior to that, 28,200.00-back in 2013. We can’t stress enough if you are building a GEM Type or MS Seated Quarter sets how hard it is to find a true GEM of this date and grade. Do NOT compare this coin to an unstickered coin. We have seen so many that have been messed with or are overgraded. You should want true quality when buying a coin like this!
