$1 1857 PCGS MS65

This is a HIGH  END REAL MS65. It has two other HUGE things going for it: #1 It was the late dealer David Akers PERSONAL favorite coin (David was the builder of the greatest sets ever of his generation in the 60’s and 70’s), #2 it was in an NGC MS66 holder. Only the coin currently in our all time finest EVER Legend Collection is better. The obverse is full MS65+/66 calibre. The surfaces are super clean and are sleek yet have a soft satiny texture. The reserves is MS65 quality. There are some light scuffs around 12:00.We have seen worse marks on a few “commoner” MS66’s! Both sides enjoy a super strong luster. The color is a rich silver white with a hint of gold. Miss Liberty and the details are slightly frosted and have amazing full stand out strikes. The eye appeal is fabulous! PCGS 3, NGC 1, CAC 3. We believe this coin is represented 2x on the PCGS and CAC pops (we were fiddling around seeking a 65+). There is NO auction history for any MS65. In an MS66 holder, this coin sold for $76,375.00-which is still below what we feel this coin should be worth. At least Collectors Universe Value is close-$85,000.00 in MS65. Once this real rarity is sold, good luck finding another. We do have a MS64 in stock, but its pale in comparison to this coin. Think about how many PCGS MS65 CAC MS Seated Dollars you have seen offered in the last 2-3 years-NOT MANY AT ALL!
