We never get tired of buying superb “old friends” like this back! Its one of the prettier AU Bust Dollars we have seen.
Impeccable surfaces are smooth and look semi satiny. Even using a strong glass there are NO problems to be found. A very decent luster illuminates an original album toning sheen of golden brown/pale violet/gold/green colors that swirl all over. Miss Liberty and the details are well struck. The wear is light and not visible to the naked eye on the obverse. There are no real dark patches either. The eye appeal is very pretty!
PCGS 49, NGC 7, CAC 6. This coin last sold in auction for $39,950.00 10/2015.To us, that price is ridiculous. We once owned this piece at $60,000.00 in 2014! Plus, this coin looks far better then several MS61+62’s we have seen! If you do your research, you will also see this was the ONLY PCGS CAC AU58 to ever sell in auction. The potential for this coin is tremendous!
