$1 1874 TRADE PCGS PR65 CAMEO

This is a magnificent GEM Proof Trade Dollar. Most collectors do not realize how difficult it is to find ANY PR 1874’s in GEM PR let a lone a superb Cameoed one like this.

Deep and powerful mirrors beam from all over. The mirrors are crystal clear, super clean, and have bold reflectivity. They look like a freshly made sheet of glass. A wonderful totally original mix of pale navy/blue/green/gold/deep olive/purple colors all vividly swirl on both sides. Miss Liberty and the details are thickly frosted a creamy white. The details are well struck-although there is a touch of softness on the eagles leg (typical). The eye appeal is pretty neat!

ONLY 700 were minted. PCGS 3, NGC 10, CAC 2. Here is how extremely rare these are: this piece was the LAST coin to sell at auction-in 02/2008. Back then it realized $20,700.00 in spirited bidding (we were actually an underbidder then) to Gene Gardner. The current Collectors Universe Value is only $16,000.00-a price we feel is too low relative to its appearances. Good luck finding another after this piece is sold w/only 3 graded after PCGS 30+ years of operations!
