Love this old friend. We placed it awhile ago and just had the chance top reaquire it. Its easy to do that when the coins you deal in are “all there and then some”!
We do consider this a high end coin. There are some very trivial tiny contact ticks scattered around. You really need a glass to see them. You can see Mint made die polishing lines. A strong luster and very slight semi-prooflike surfaces beam from all over. The color is a rich original yellow gold. There are no spots. Miss Liberty and the details are well struck. The wear is slight. The eye appeal is fabulous!
ONLY 5750 were minted. PCGS 27, NGC 50, CAC 6. The last one to sell in auction brought $5,319.00 01/2012. That’s THREE LONG YEARS AGO! Can’t say we’ve seen any on the bourse floors either. Opportunity definately knocks loud here!
