Hard to believe better 1856S exists. This coin was compared side by side to the Simpson coin. All duplicates should look this exceptional!
Amazing surfaces are ultra clean and have a light satiny smooth texture. There are also slight traces of semi-prooflike mirrors. The booming luster also shows off the rich original gold colors. There are NO spots. Miss Liberty is quite boldly struck up and stands out from a distance. The eye appeal is fabulous!
PCGS 3, NGC 3, CAC 4.This coin recently sold for $44,650.00 08/2015. We thought that was too cheap and we purchased this coin in the aftermarket. Collectors Universe agrees as they valued it at $62,500.00. Once its sold, good luck finding any GEM G $1 1856S!
