H.01 1800 PCGS MS62RB CAC OGH
$7,500.00
We seriously debated for days whether or not to send it in seeking an MS63RB. We do grade it a 62.9, however PCGS is insanely tight and we didn’t want to lose the first generation holder (we do NOT make any promises this coin ever will upgrade). We assure you, we have seen much worse, in MS64 holders!
Remarkable surfaces are super clean and smooth. On the right obverse there is an old impression that looks like a planchet flake (Mint made). A surprsing luster enhance the totally original GEM chocolate brown colors that are framed by hints of Mint Red. There are NO spots or discolorations. Miss Liberty and the details are exceptionally struck. The eye appeal is great!
PCGS 4, NGC 1, CAC 2. This was the last PCGS CAC piece to sell in auction brought $4,600.00-in 2009. That price has been proven to be cheap since a MS63RB sold for $22,325.00 05/2015 and an MS64 for $46,000.00 01/2014. Also, do NOT get this date confused with the much commoner 1804’s and 1806’s. This piece will be a great addition to any choice Half Cent set!
