How in the world could we pass up a gorgeous early PR Liberty Large Cent that has a mintage of LESS then 15? As you can see, we did not miss this coin! This piece is also Ex Naftzger.
A huge compliment to its quality is that the fine EAC folks designated it a PR63. There is a thin light cut or two by the chin on the obverse, other wise this coin grades full PR65+. The reverse is 65 easily. The mirrors are deep and have really strong reflectivity. They also offer bold clarity. Both sides are a mix of original faded Mint Red/pale brown/gold/blue colors. There are NO flecks or spots. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have pinpoint sharp strikes. The eye appeal is really nice!
LESS then 15 were minted. PCGS 3, NGC 1, CAC 2 (this might be both). PCGS has graded only 1 coin higher. This is yet another Copper PR 1C that’s rarer then a 1894S 10C or $1 1804. Good luck ever finding another!
