What a lovely and totally original 1936 Proof Half! You can easily tell the colors are from tissue paper.
Strong mirrors beam from all over. They do appear clean, clear, and flashy. Plus, they have a neat “glassy” look. Beautiful and original shades of reddish brown/pale green/pale gold frame the peripheries on the obverse and half the reverse. Miss Liberty and the details are pinpoint sharp in strike. The eye appeal is wonderful!
PCGS 283, NGC 316, CAC 83. The last one to sell in auction brought $3,760.00 01/2015-when the market was it its lowest point this year. The current Collectors Universe Value is $4,950.00. Before we bought it was listed on a notorious shot takers web site for $5,850.00. We do not do that garbage. We buy coins right and sell them VERY fairly. Opportunity knocks loud here!
