$10 1873S PCGS AU53 SIMPSON/HALL

For an AU53, this coin is extremely nice!

Very pleasing even smooth surfaces reveal very few ticks or imperfections anywhere. Even using a strong glass there is no much to see. Both sides have ever an ever so slight luster. The color is a rich and original orange gold. There are no discolorations. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck and show little wear. The eye appeal is terrific!

PCGS 8, NGC 9, CAC 1. PCGS has graded only 6 coins higher. Since none have traded in a very long time, it is really hard to say what this coin is really worth. The current Collectors Universe Value is $6,750.00. If this were in auction, who knows what it could bring? Opportunity knocks loud here!
