$10 1862 PCGS AU58 SIMPSON/HALL

$27,500.00

This is a tremendous example of a much sought after and hard to find Civil War date! Typically, these are dull, crusty, and many we have seen have been cleaned. This piece is a breath of fresh air!

First, we are surprised to see this coin has delicious traces of semi prooflike mirrors. Of course NONE are serious or detract. The wear is light and can not be seen w/the naked eye. A bold luster does enhance the stunning original gold color. There are no spots or stains. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have crisp full strikes. The eye appeal is gorgeous!

PCGS 7, NGC 11, CAC 3. PCGS has graded NONE higher. The last one to sell in a major auction brought $28, 200.00 02/2013 Heritage. We were the buyers and sold the coin immediately to a dealer. We can’t stress enough the popularity and rarity of this date and grade!
