Typical for the series, finding this date (like any) in TRUE GEM is extremely difficult. So many have been over graded or messed with. We could not buy this coin fast enough when we saw it!
Overall, the surfaces are clean. There are a few very light and scattered die lines you can only see with a glass. An extra strong luster beams the beautiful and fully ORIGINAL orange gold color all over. There are NO spots or discolorations. All of the details are frosty and have sharp strikes. The eye appeal is great!
PCGS 57, NGC 44, CAC 8 (w/none HIGHER). The last PCGS CAC piece to sell in auction brought $24,675.00 01/2015 (a very weak sale). Prior to that one brought $48,875.00 01/2012 Heritage-that is THREE long years ago! If you are building a GEM set, this is coin will be an outstanding citizen!
