This coin is the undisputed FINEST 1883 Half Dollar in existence!
The surfaces are clean, satiny smooth, lustrous, and do have slight traces of semi-prooflike mirrors. Only with a strong glass can you find a teenie contact mark or two that are what keep this coin from grading full MS68. A stunning ring of totally original blue/gold/green colors frames the peripheries on both sides. We do grade the reverse full MS68. Miss Liberty and the details are frosted and have crisp full strikes. The eye appeal is phenomenal!
PCGS 2, NGC 1, CAC 3 (this coin is 2X). Only 8000 were minted. This is the ONLY MS67+ graded by PCGS or NGC. The last regular MS67 to sell was TEN YEARS AGO (2005). That coin realized $28,750.00 back then. Its impossible to figure its exact worth today. One thing is for sure, you can’t get a better 1883!
