The planchet is ok. With a strong glass you can see a few tiny “rough” raised patches of metal. To the naked eye the coin does look smooth and clean. In fact we do state this coin is defect free. A stunning full booming luster shows off glossy original GEM brown colors. There are NO aweful discolorations. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck and do stand out. The eye appeal is phenomenal!
