Before certification, a coin like this would have been called a GEM. We took one look and knew we had to own it!
First, this HIGH END GEM clearly has moderate cameo contrast. WOW! An intense headlight booming luster really makes that stand out. You can see some scattered ticks-mostly on the obverse. There is a thin cut in the hair-visible only w/a glass. Both sides are a powerful mint white. The obverse has a thin band of reddish gold framing the rims only. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck and have thick 80S type PL frosting. The eye appeal is wicked awesome!
PCGS 445, NGC 250, CAC 60. The last PCGS CAC piece to sell at auction brought $6,148.00 08/2014 Heritage. An NGC CAC coin sold for $8,225.00 12/2014. This coin deserves a premium because of the neat cameoed appearance.
