G $1 1886 PCGS MS67

$12,500.00

At first glance we questioned whether this outstanding coin was a weak proof. It certainly is detailed and has that kind of look!

Immaculate surfaces are strongly mirrored. Only with a strong glass can you see a few light die polishing lines scattered about. The color is a totally original gold. There are two minor copper toning stains-which help prove the coins originality. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck and have thick frost giving this coin a slightly cameoed look. The eye appeal is fabulous!

Only 5000 were ever minted. PCGS 4, NGC 15, CAC 5 (we believe this coin is represented 2x on CAC). There is one 67+ higher and that is it. We can not stress enough how rare and undervalued this coin is. In fact we have found NO accurate price guides for this date and grade. Keep in mind, the last PCGS MS67 1886-sold in auction for almost $9G-back in 2006! Even if your building a Type set, this is a great piece to include!
