We do not see any real reason why PCGS did not grade this coin MS63. We do grade the coin ULTRA HIGH END!
The planchet seems to be decent. Its very interesting to note that with a strong glass what you see are not cuts or problems. There are many dies cracks and even die clashes. There is some very light glossy texture. The color is an even moderate original chocolate brown. Miss Liberty and the details are exceptionally struck. Some light toning does appear on Miss Liberty’s face. The eye appeal is fantastic!
PCGS 8, NGC 6, CAC 6 (this is 2x). PCGS has graded only this coin MS62+. There are only 6 graded higher. A special note: The last MS62 (not 62+) that sold in auction brought $9,400.00 04/2014 Heritage. In MS63 one sold for $16,450.00 01/2014 Goldberg. Do not let the fact the two coins sold fool you-these are rare coins that seldom appear!
