We’ve NEVER seen a Civil War era MS piece as colorful. What a great coin. How it has managed to stay in such a wonderful state of preservation-is a real question!
Fabulous surfaces are clean and smooth. Nothing hidden anywhere. A surprising luster (especially around the details ) enhances the stunning colors and also reveals traces of semi-prooflike mirrors. The colors are a moderate but vibrant royal blue/forest green/rose/violet/olive/fiery tangerine. Miss Liberty and the details are lightly frosted and have clear full strikes. The eye appeal is super!
