1C 1859 PCGS MS65

Really, how does a 155 year old 1C survive for so long being this nice? We are always amazed.

First, a full booming luster greets you from several feet away. Then you look at the surfaces-which are above average in cleanliness. Only with a strong glass can you find a few ticks and giggles. There are NO spots or discolorations. The color is a totally ORIGINAL copper nickel. All of the details are sharply struck and have light frost. The eye appeal is really nice!

PCGS 146, NGC 159, CAC 28. The last one of these to sell in a major auction brought $3,818.00 04/2014 Heritage. We can’t say we see a whole bunch offered with any frequency-especially PCGS CAC pieces.
