No, we have NOT given up on Commems. We just do not see many we like. Most of the time they are dull-or if they do have any kind of color-they are over graded. This coin was a refreshing beauty!
Absolutely SUPERB surfaces are pristine all over. You can use a super strong glass and you will find ZERO imperfections of any size, any where. An intense headlight luster illuminates the stunning thin band of totally original blue/reddish gold/auburn colors that frame part of the rims on both sides. All of the details are very well struck. The eye appeal really is that nice!
PCGS 149, NGC 196, CAC 87. This piece should NOT be compared to AVERAGE coins: it has tons of life and some beautiful color!
