$1 1853 PCGS MS65+

This is a world class and extremely rare GEM Seated Dollar. When we were building the all time FINEST EVER PCGS MS set (The Legend Collection), this was a date and grade we never had. Now we do!

We see no real reason why this remarkable GEM is not an MS66. Shimmering surfaces are slightly satiny smooth, and glow with a really strong luster. There are some light visible MINT MADE die polishing lines as well as light semi-prooflike mirrors. An awesome band of ORIGINAL warm gold/royal blue/navy/reddish gold frames the peripheries. Miss Liberty and the details are thickly frosted and have exceptional strikes. The eye appeal is jaw dropping!

PCGS 1, NGC 0, CAC 1. PCGS has graded one coin higher (its is awesome-but lacks color). There is no auction history for this coin. We can not stress enough the extreme rarity and quality being offered in this piece. Even if you do not collect MS Seated Dollars, this would make one heck of a Type coin!
