These are extremely rare. back about 20 or so years ago Dwight Manley offered us a group of 5 MS63 DMPL’s and one or two MS64’s. At the time the price for the 63’s was an absurd $3,000.00 each! We strongly believe this coin and virtually the entire pop of DMPL’s are these coins. They ALL were of superb quality!
This coin clearly is a MS63+ DMPL. The mirrors are a full 8″ deep and have remarkable clarity. As expected only a few trivial ticks are visible. There is no haze or huge scuffs. The mirrors do look liek deep glass and have that “back” appearance (a term). Miss Liberty and the details are thickly frosted and are fully struck. The eye appeal is super-especially since the coin is only MS63 DMPL!
PCGS 7, NGC 1, CAC 1. PCGS has graded 2 coins higher. If you are a DMPL collector looking for completeness in CC’s, this is your opportunity to acquire a grossly underrated rarity! This is the first 90CC TB DMPL we have owned in well over a decade!
