A classic piece from the Famous Link Collection of Bust Half Dollars. We thank Dr Link for selling us this beauty. The quality is VERY high end.
Superior surface are satiny smooth and are super clean. There are NO hidden lines or marks. Years ago before certification, a coin like this easily would have been sold as a GEM MS 65. A light luster does appear. Both sides are a totally ORIGINAL pale golden brown/pale/russet/deep champagne color. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck (there is some minor weakness on the eagles wing tip) and do stand out. The eye appeal is fantastic!
PCGS 13, NGC 2, CAC 4. There are NO auction records fro ANY PCGS MS64 ever selling. Keep in mind a colorful 1808 (POP 20) just sold at the June LB Sale for $23,500.00. ALL the Bust Halves in that sale went nuts. We’re offering this piece at a very reasonable level.
