Similar to the coin we sold last month-but definitely NOT the same coin! We can not stress enough how rare these are in true GEM.
This piece looks more like a 1943 MS65 then a 21. The surfaces are pretty much immaculate. The dreaded right field has just a small frost break and is way above average. Both sides are enlivened by a full booming luster which shows off the fabulous creamy white color. Miss Liberty and the details are lightly frosted and have exceptional strikes. The eye appeal is beautiful!
PCGS 32, NGC 18, CAC 9 (with only one coin beaned higher). The last one of these to sell in auction we bought for $32,900.00-and felt we got it at a really good price. Again, we can’t stress hard enough how rare this date is in TRUE beautiful GEM!
