From our recent LM Feb Regency Sale. This is Ex Abe Grundstein’s “box of 20”. We loved this coins exceptional quality and feel it is tremendously UNDERVALUED too. So yes, we did buy it from the sale.
At first glance, this stunning piece reminds you more of a 1901S then a 1904O. The surfaces are remarkably pristine. Even with a strong glass and a super long look, you will NOT find ANY problems of ANY size, ANY where. The surfaces not only a super satiny, but they have a full bold luster. Both sides enjoy totally ORIGINAL pale orange/pale greenish gold colors. There are NO spots or discolorations. This coin has NOT been dipped. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have crisp strikes. The eye appeal is awesome!
PCGS 6, NGC 4, CAC 5. On behalf of Abe, we did resubmit this coin once-so it is really 2x on the PCGS and CAC pops. NONE are graded higher anywhere. This coin sold for $28,200.00 in our sale. We just really want to find another great home for this most deserving coin.
