Really hard to imagine how this coin has survived for over 137 years in such a marvelous state of preservation. At the VERY least this coin is a SUPERB GEM!
Shimmering surfaces have a thick satiny luster. The surfaces are also super clean and smooth. With a strong glass, the worst you can find is a small frost break or two. No question this is a totally ORIGINAL satiny white colored coin. Miss Liberty and the details are thickly frosted and have sharp strikes. The eye appeal is stunning!
PCGS 39, NGC 31, CAC 12. Do NOT let the pops fool you. You will NOT see another 1877 remotely close to this coins quality. The last 1877 PCGS piece to sell in auction was a NON CAC. That coin brought $6,462.00 03/2013 Stacks.
