$10 1887S PCGS MS64

After helping to build the all time finest EVER MS Set of $10’s-the Simpson Collection we learned an awful lot as to how rare these coins are and how many don’t come-nice! So when we see nicer pieces like this, we always try to buy them!

We rank this coin at MS64.6. It does have a few teenie ticks/and small cuts-which you really can only see with a glass, but NONE are distracting. The surfaces are boldly lustrous. Both sides have an ORIGINAL orange gold color. We grade the reverse full MS64+. There are NO spots. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have exceptional strikes. The eye appeal really is quite pleasing.

PCGS 3, NGC 9, CAC 1. PCGS has graded NONE higher, while NGC has one MS65. We could find no earlier auction records for any MS64 CAC ever selling. On Jan 13 a NON CAC sold for $7,050.00 Heritage. The pops are powerful proof as to how this date does NOT come-NICE!
