For over 35 years Legend has bought and sold some of the finest colored commems that exist. We can tell you in our career, we have seen few HI with real color. When we saw this coin, we were in love! Its also much closer to MS67 then mid range 66 quality.
Technically, this coin is all there and then some. After carefully examining the surfaces all over, we could find only ONE small HIDDEN mark. A strong luster shows off firy pastel rainbow like ORIGINAL colors of warm gold/light golden brown/pale violet/iridescent green that swirl all over. Every detail is sharply struck and stands out. The eye appeal is gorgeous!
PCGS 64, NGC 76, CAC 18 (none are beaned higher). PCGS has graded only 7 in MS66+ and 2 in MS67+. The last MS66+ PCGS CAC piece to sell in auction brought $15,525.00 04/2012 Heritage. This coin is worth much more due to its gorgeous colors. The last MS67 to (non CAC) brought $54,625.00 back in 2007. If you are building a high end and colored set, then this coin is a “must”!
