20C 1875 PCGS PR65 CAMEO

We have always loved GEM PROOF CAMEO 20C pieces. This coin has so much to offer!

Surprisingly deep, clear, clean and unusually boldly reflective mirrors adorn the surfaces. Typically this date comes dull and with shallow light mirrors, which these clearly are not. Even when using a strong glass, the only thing you can find is a scattered thin light line or two. Both sides are a creamy white. Miss Liberty and the details are thickly frosted and have full strikes. The eye appeal is beautiful!

PCGS 8, NGC 20, CAC 2. PCGS has graded only 2 finer. The last one of these to sell in a major auction was a PCGS NON CAC, which brought $9,988.00 (1/13 Heritage). We cannot stress enough the great rarity a GEM PR 20C Cameo piece offers. Plus, it’s also exciting to own a GEM from an obsolete series (which in Proof is completable).
