Technically, this coin borders on MS66 status. It is just shy eye appeal wise.
Outrageously clean and smooth surfaces dominate both sides. Even with a strong glass you will find NO impairments. The luster is above average. An ORIGINAL light hint of golden brown is spread around the surfaces. Miss Liberty and the details are amazingly sharply struck. The eye appeal is still wonderful!
PCGS 171, NGC 98, CAC 34. PCGS has graded 19 in MS65+. The last one (A NON CAC piece sold for $8,812.00 06/2012 Stacks. All we can say is, we have only ever seen 2 MS66’s. Today, they are worth a fortune.
