This is one of those coins you study for hours trying to find what ever PCGS did to keep it as a PR64BN. Pretty amazing to us!
We can not find ANY problems, ANYwhere, of ANY size. The mirrors are typical for the date (which means weak). There are NO spots. Some light totally ORIGINAL chocolate brown toning intermingles with pale mint red color all over. Every detail is needle sharp in strike and has light frost. The eye appeal is great!
This is a Proof ONLY date with only 500 minted. PCGS 31, NGC 15, CAC 2. We think the pops are overstated. Open 3’s are the date you rarely ever see in any grade or color. NO PCGS/CAC coin has ever sold in major auction. Good luck finding another!
