$2.5 1826/5 PCGS AU58

This coin is so rare most people have no clue it even exists! Plus, the quality of this coin is tremendous in VERY respect!

This is a coin that we could not get out of our minds. Never saw it before, never remember seeing another anywhere like it. We HAD to own it.

Both sides are fully prooflike. The surfaces are clean overall save for a few trivial light lines. Some die clashing is visible. A full booming luster shows off totally ORIGINAL deep yellow gold that blends into beautiful reddish gold by the left obverse rims. There are NO spots or discolorations. Miss Liberty and the details are frosted and have extra sharp strike. The wear is extremely light and you need a glass to find it. The eye appeal is INCREDIBLE!

ONLY 760 pieces were ever minted. PCGS 3, NGC 4, CAC 1. PCGS has possibly graded only 3 coins higher. A PCGS NON CAC was last in auction in 2008. That coin brought $69,000.00. We do not understand why these are not $100,000.00 coins. Their frequency of appearances in AU58 or greater is probably LESS then an 1804 $1 in the past decade! We can not stress enough what a great opportunity this coin represents to early gold collectors. Once this coin is sold, your chances of find another-very slim!
