$20 1850 PCGS AU58

We have actually pursued this coin for a few months. It had been owned buy a part time dealer. We just can’t get really nice coins out of our heads!

There are NO major problems anywhere on this coin. You can see some light lines and a teenie tick, that’s it. The surfaces do offer traces of ORIGINAL luster. Both sides are a GEM ORIGINAL deep gold color. There are NO spots or discolorations on the high points (this is NOT a dipped coin either). Miss Liberty and the details are well struck. The wear is very light. We do consider this a GEM AU58. The eye appeal is great-and even better than a few MS61’s we have seen!

PCGS 34, NGC 123, CAC 11. Do NOT be fooled by the pops, these are incredibly rare when they are properly graded. So far, the ONLY CAC coin to have sold in major auction has been an NGC. It brought $9,200.00 08/2011 Heritage. We paid much more for this one! Keep in mind, a real MS61 would cost well over $25,000.00.
