5C 1879 PCGS PR67

This piece is a wonderful example of a date that harder to find then you realize. Years ago when we built the Law Collection of Shield 5C Proofs, this was the last date we needed! We are thrilled to own and offer this outstanding GEM!

Both sides have deep, clean, clear, and highly reflective mirrors. There are NO spots or problems of any size hidden any where. A light to medium color mix of ORIGINAL soft gold/pale violet/light blue swirl all over. Every detail is needle sharp in strike and displays delicate frost. The eye appeal is wonderful!

PCGS 15, NGC 15, CAC 1. It is VERY interesting to note, that CAC has only beaned ONE of these vs 7 for the 9/8 in PR67. In fact, the regular PR 1879/8 has a pop of 25 in PCGS PR67. NO PCGS/CAC 1879 have been to auction. A NON CAC PCGS piece sold for $3,220.00 back in 06/2010. Good luck on finding another one!
