1C 1810/09 PCGS AU58

We do not think we have ever handled one of these until now. Saw the coin and thought is was too neat and too nice not buy. The quality is SUPER ULTRA HIGH END.

As the world knows, we are “secret copper weenies”. We can NOT resist nice early copper. This coin is what we call a GEM AU+! That means it is not banged up and is VERY high end. Its struck on a good planchet, has no pitting, and the surfaces have not been messed with. In fact, we are blown away at how clean and smooth the surfaces are. The wear is super light and there are NO discolorations on the high points. We really do not see enough wear to keep this coin from an MS designation. A light luster shows off totally ORIGINAL even chocolate brown colors. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck. You do NOT need a glass to see the over date. We really can’t see why this coin is only an AU58. The eye appeal is awesome!

PCGS 1, NGC 0, CAC 1. PCGS has only graded a possible 4 coins higher. Forget about the price rags-they are all wrong. The last one of these to be auctioned was back in 2003 prior to this coin. We just bought it out of the CSNS Sale for $10,925.00. We were prepared to pay more. We think this coin should be worth $15,000.00 easy. If you collect early copper, this is one heck of a coin, one heck of an opportunity!
