$10 1893 PCGS MS65

$9,000.00

First you need to know a better date like this does not come satiny and smooth like an 1901 or 1901S. We bought this GEM because we felt it was solid for the grade.

The surfaces appear clean, but under a strong glass you will see some MINOR frost breaks and a light scuff/tick or two. A strong luster shows off beautiful ORIGINAL orange gold colors. There are NO discolorations anywhere. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have full strikes. The eye appeal is VERY nice!

PCGS 4, NGC 29, CAC 2. PCGS/NGC have graded NONE higher. We cannot stress enough the extreme rarity of this date in PCGS/NGC MS65. We can account for 2 of the others coins-one being locked away in the #1 FINEST EVER Hall/Simpson set. NO PCGS/CAC GEM has ever sold in auction. We are kinda of scratching our heads as to why this coin is not easily $10,000.00. Even the PCGS CU Values have it listed as a $12,500.00 piece. This may very well be a perfect example of a better gold coin that fell in sympathy with commoners recently. If there is any type of rebound in gold (which we fully expect) and over time, this coin has all the potential to sky rocket in price!

This is a great coin for a Type set or any Type of $10 Liberty Gold collection.
