$2.5 1829 PCGS AU50

This coin was love at first, second, and EVERY sighting! The quality is all there.

To the naked eye the coin looks clean. With a strong glass all you see are some light lines. There are NO hits or unsightly issues. Both sides are slightly semi-proolike. Totally ORIGINAL deep yellow gold blends into darker pale orange gold around the rims. Miss Liberty and the details are well struck and have light honest wear. There are NO discolorations on the high points. The eye appeal is fantastic!

ONLY 3403 were minted. PCGS 5, NGC 1, CAC 1. Prior to this piece, there have been NO AU 50’s sold in any major auction-since 1990! Even in AU53 there none. Only in AU55 did one sell back in 2007. We cannot stress enough the extreme rarity of this date-especially in AU. A few MS pieces do exist but when the heck was the last time you remember seeing one (actually a PCGS/CAC MS63 did sell this year for $51,750.00)? This coin represents a wonderful addition to any Bust $2.5 or Type set!
