J- 942 50C 1870 PCGS PR65BN EX DENALI

This coin is a R-8 (only 1-3 pieces believed to exist)! We know the other coin is in the Simpson Collection. We have not seen or heard of any others. This is the Liberty Cap with Stars design.

Both sides offer superior mirrors. There are NO hints of any problems of ANY size, ANY where. The reflectivity and clarity are strong. The color is a totally ORIGINAL brown/pale navy/golden brown. Every detail is needle sharp in strike. This coin was no question made with care. The eye appeal is fantastic!

PCGS 1, NGC 0, CAC 1. This is quite possibly the ONLY collectable specimen (again, the other coin is locked up in the Simpson Collection). Keep in mind, that a REGULAR 1870 GEM Proof 65 would cost you at least $5,000.00-and there are 12 of those grade. The Judd Book values this at $8,000.00 (which we think is ridiculous cheap). Yet again, the fundamentals are strong. At today’s prices, we really believe patterns have little down side. Whats even neater here, yoru chances of seeing more-won’t happen!
