No question this coin is 100% ORIGINAL and has NEVER been messed with. An intense luster shows off pretty much pristine surfaces. Only on the reverse is there two very teenie dead flecks (mentioned for accuracy-these are NOT PVC or are growing). The color is an ORIGINAL Mint Red w/soft hints of gold. The reverse is a little streaky with color lines. Lincoln and all of the details are frosty and have sharp strikes. The eye appeal is sincerely fabulous!
PCGS 165, NGC 40, CAC 19. The last PCGS/CAC piece to sell in a major auction brought $16,100.00 in 09/2010 Heritage. This coin also is housed in an OLDER GREEN TAG holder. Keep in mind, the next step up is impossible to locate and would set you back and was $125,000.00. NOTE: We have not owned one of these since early 2009. And we do try to buy them!
