Only some wispy light lines and extremely light wear keep this coin from being a full MS.
The lines are light and are scattered. You need a glass to see them and any real wear. A full booming luster is on top of the flashy semi-prooflike mirrors. Both sides are a beautiful deeper ORIGINAL gold color. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have exceptional strikes. The eye appeal is wonderful!
ONLY 1000 pieces were ever minted for circulation. PCGS 42, NGC 46, CAC 5. The last 3 1886 PCGS AU58’s that have sold in auction have brought: $4,026.00, $5,750.00, and $4,140.00 all in 2011. Do not think this is a common coin-they are not.
