One of the most undervalued and misunderstood Trade Dollar dates in Proof Cameo. They just don’t exist! This is a wonderful coin with good contrast.
Strong, clear, and clean mirrors do offer bold reflectivity. Using a strong glass all you can see is a scattered line or two. Both sides are covered by a deep ORIGINAL navy/pale purple/deep pewter color that is vibrant (NOT dull). Miss Liberty and the details boldly stand out with needle sharp strikes and thick frost. The eye appeal is excellent!
Only 510 were ever minted. PCGS 13, NGC 11, CAC 5. PCGS has only graded 6 coins higher. The only CAC coin we could find that sold at auction was back in 12/2010. It brought $5,452.00 Heritage. This coin offered here is fresh to the market (it was in a collection for OVER a decade)! Opportunity is knock loud here!
