First, this coin was struck on a pretty much smooth and problem free planchet. There is little to no porosity. The color is a deeper chocolate-but staining is held to a minimum. Miss Liberty and the details are exceptionally struck and do NOT have any black or bad wear. The appeal is amazing for 215 year old coin.
PCGS 4, NGC 1, CAC 3. PCGS possibly has graded 30 coins higher-a number we highly despite (we think more like a dozen). This is an extremely rare date in ANY grade.
