J-1678 5C 1882 PCGS PR65RB

$15,500.00

This is a high R-7 (4-7 minted). Its the test piece for an 1882 Liberty Nickel Pattern!

We have handled many of the BEST patterns that exist. No question this coin falls into that category!

Still housed in its original green tag holder, this SUPERB GEM has never been messed with. Both sides display 75%+ ORIGINAL CRISP GEM MINT RED COLOR. Phenomenal deep, crystal clear, super clean, and highly reflective mirrors just add to this coin spectacular eye appeal. Only with a strong glass can you detect a few microscopic flecks. The toning is slightly darker and looks like a rubber band was laying across the reverse for a while. We think that is what holds it back from being a full red. The eye appeal is awesome!

PCGS 1, NGC 0, CAC 1. We bought this GEM really right. In 2008 a PR64RB sold in Stacks for $29,900.00. The Judd Book values this in 65 at $33,000.00. We can not stress enough what a huge opportunity this coin represents to not only Pattern collectors but Liberty Nickel collectors as well!
