You can study this coin forever and clearly see it was untouched since leaving the Mint. Obviously it just sat in an envelope in the Guttag bros offices.
Completely mark free surfaces are satiny in texture. A strong luster shows off beautiful pale colors of lilac in the centers and gold/green by parts of the rims. Every detail is pinpoint sharp in strike and has light frost. The eye appeal is pretty!
PCGS 166, NGC 140, CAC 25. We do know for many years a southern collector was hoarding these-which s why they are hard to find. PCGS has graded possibly 6 coins higher (one of which we placed in the great Shalor colored Commem set)!
