Since buying the Ellen #1 MS $10 Liberty set, we have had some education about $10 Libs. They not only are rare, but they really do not appear much in nice UNC!
This coin is a borderline MS60. Only some LIGHT lines keep this from MS60-not discolored wear. Never dipped this coin is original and has some slight toning (it is not “dirty” either). There is some luster around the devices. Miss Liberty and the details are well struck. The eye appeal is excellent!
PCGS 5, NGC 25, CAC 2 (CAC has stickered NONE higher). PCGS has graded only one coin-an MS64 higher. We can not stress enough the extreme rarity of this coin in MS. The last CAC /PCGS piece to sell at a major auction brought $4,313.00 1/11 Heritage. We know we paid more for this one!
