First you are greeted by remarkably strong mirrors. They are super clean (there are some very teenie flecks on the reverse-do not let the image spook you), have incredible clarity, and of course really have powerful reflectivity. The color is a heart pounding ORIGINAL Mint Red with hints of gold and some violet toning. This coin is NOT turning. Every detail is fully struck and has light frosting. For an Open 3 PR65RD, the eye appeal is jaw dropping!
This is a Proof ONLY date with LESS than 500 pieces minted. PCGS 4, NGC 6, CAC 2. A non CAC PCGS coin last was auction for $5,463.00 08/09 Heritage, while an NGC coin went for $6,900.00 in 2008. There are 5 graded PR66RD w/one CAC’d. One of those sold for $35,938.00 1/2010 Heritage. Regardless, this is a true GEM example of an extremely rare coin.
