G $1 1867 PCGS MS65

$7,250.00

This coin has so much going for it. First, it is totally ORIGINAL. Second, it has really neat clashing marks. Third, its a truly rare GEM-from 1867!

This coin is slightly cameoed. Lightly prooflike mirrors do exhibit light die polishing lines. Both sides do have strong luster. There are no real marks. The planchet this coin was struck on does have some minor pitting. There are NO spots or stains. The color is a beautiful ORIGINAL orange gold. Miss Liberty and the details look sculpted in strike. They are also heavily frosted. The eye appeal is great!

PCGS 3, NGC 3, CAC 1 (the ONLY other 1867 to be beaned is an MS67). PCGS has graded 4 coins higher (one of which is in the FINEST set ever we are building). An 1867 in MS65 has not been auctioned since 2005 (6 years ago)! Back then one sold for $5,463.00 07/2005 Heritage. The last MS66 sold in 2009 for $12,650.00. This coin is housed in an older green tag holder. Opportunity can not knock any louder here!
