We have had this coin with in our jurisdiction for over a decade. For the life of us, we never understood (to this day) why PCGS refuses to grade the coin MS64. You MUST see this coin-it looks far better than MS63.
Yes, this coin us ULTRA HIGH END. It has UNBELIEVABLE smooth and incredibly clean surfaces that are ORIGINAL. The luster is light as there is a coating of silver/pewter color evenly spread across both sides. This coin is NOT dull or drab. Miss Liberty and the details are exceptionally struck. There is a very interesting raised metal dot between the 1 and the 8 of the date. The eye appeal is incredible-just like the quality!
PCGS 2, NGC 1, CAC 2. PCGS has graded only coins higher. The last time an MS63 (not a + or CAC) sold was back in 2006 Goldberg, that coin brought $48,300.00. These are so incredibly rare!
