J- 150 1C 1853 PCGS PR65+ THIN

$8,750.00

This is an R-7 (4-12 minted). It is s a made from the regular production dies for the Quarter Eagle. It is a mix of metals. The quality of this coin is outrageous!

Surprisingly strong mirrors are clean and clear overall. There is a teenie planchet chip by the rim at 10:00 on the upper left obverse. The color is a bold pewter/silver. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have full strikes. The eye appeal is fantastic!

PCGS 1, NGC 0, CAC 1. This coin is the FINEST graded by PCGS. There are NO auction records for any + coins. The Judd book values a PR65 at $8,500.00. We do agree with that valuation.

ANY PR coin from 1853 is exceedingly rare. Here you have a 1C on a $2.5 Proof coin in a unique cocktail mix of metals. We don’t think a pattern can be much cooler!
